My name is Ryan Banigan. My start into the shooting world came from hunting. In my youth, I was hunting every chance I got. It didn't take long before I started customizing and accurizing my hunting rifles to improve my success in the field.

Soon I began reloading my own ammo in order to fine tune my rifles for the task at hand, whether that was calling coyotes, shooting prairie dogs in the wind or just shooting a tighter group than my buddies could. I became interested in competitive shooting as well and soon decided that factory rifles were not going to keep up for me. This is when I decided it was time to jump into the custom game. I started chambering my own barrels and blueprinting my own actions in my early 20s.

I continued to do my own work for several years. As I shot with more and more people, my rifles got noticed. I soon became known locally as the guy everyone turned to when they needed to make a rifle shoot. At this time I decided it was time to go into business, and Wild Side Precision was born!

I strongly believe that every custom rifle is a work of art and requires the utmost attention to detail. I continue to stay passionate about building rifles that are the perfect tool for the job and don't leave anything on the table.

I stay active in competition throughout the year in the Precision Rifle Series as well as other practical rifle matches and ELR matches.​

I am fortunate enough to work as a professional hunting guide every fall season for Bald Mountain Outfitters here in the Bridger Wilderness. This has shown me what things work or fail on a rifle in some of the harshest conditions, and how to mitigate or eliminate them in a hunting rifle.
